The Gingerbread Houses look GREAT!

Hello Friends,

Both classes have been working hard creating gingerbread houses for the gingerbread babies in our classroom. They are finally complete and look good enough to eat! The children should be very proud of all their hard work!

The 4 year old class had a special guest today that taught them how to sing the song Silent Night in sign language. It was a very special experience for the children and teachers. Thank you very much to our new friend.

Decorating and Eating Gingerbread Babies!

Hello Friends,

Thank goodness the 3 year old class found all 5 of the missing gingerbread babies! They celebrated by decorating gingerbread cookies with cream cheese/ raisins and peanut butter/chocolate chips. We also welcomed a new friend that will be joining us at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our classroom community continues to grow!

Gingerbread Babies!

Hello Friends,

Oh, those silly gingerbread babies have escaped and are in our classroom! We have to find all 15 by Friday and return them to their home! So far we have only found 2! Hopefully we will find more on Wednesday. If we find them all, we will celebrate by decorating and eating gingerbread cookies with our friends from the Culinary Department at NCCC! Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Fun Day At The Arena

What a fun day the 4 year old class had at the Kenan Center Sports Arena today. They danced and sang with Mrs. Dunn, and exercised with Manny's Mom, and prepared their own brown bag "healthy" lunches! I wonder if they shared their lunches with their families? Although we enjoyed our mini get-away, Monday we will be back at our school in the Education Building! Have a great weekend and hope to see you at the Holiday Show.

Ava's Daddy is our Guest Reader

Thank you to Mr. Bucci for being our Guest Reader. He did a great job reading The Hair book by Dr. Seuss. The children also enjoyed having another adult on the playground during outside time. Thanks, again, Mr. Bucci and please stop by again!

HARVEST CELEBRATION WAS A SUCCESS!

The children in the 4 year old class shared a wonderful harvest meal of homemade vegetable soup and corn muffins. The children were quite proud of their cooking and baking skills--everything was delicious. Our school smelled extra yummy last Friday!

Creating Corn!

Hello,

The children in the 3 year old class have been busy creating corn on the cob! Tomorrow they will finish their projects by putting all the pieces together. Did they talk with you about baking and eating corn muffins? They have also enjoyed playing with cornmeal and kernals of corn in the water table. So much fun!
